The service
Heicway is a free, browser-based photo format converter. It is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind — express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose. Use it at your own discretion.
Your content
Photos you process remain yours in every sense. Because processing happens on your device and your photos are never transmitted to us, we acquire no copy of, access to, or rights over them.
Third-party information
Pages on this site describe the behavior of third-party products — Windows codec extensions, iOS settings, browsers, apps. This information is compiled in good faith and dated, but those products change without notice; it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Microsoft, Google or anyone else, and it may be out of date by the time you read it. Verify against the vendor’s current documentation before relying on it. We accept no liability for consequences of relying on this site.
Open source
HEIC decoding uses libheif, © its contributors, used under the LGPL-3.0 license as a WebAssembly build. Our thanks to that project — tools like this one exist because of it.
Acceptable use
Don’t attempt to disrupt the site or use it in connection with unlawful activity. That’s the whole list.
Changes
These terms may be revised; the date above reflects the current version. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
